Food Hygiene Training

Individually tailored food sanitation training programs both at sea and onshore for all levels of officers and crew, including:

	All courses are internationally recognised and administered by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health UK and the National Restaurant Association.
	All training delivered by registered and experienced trainers using the latest presentation techniques.
	Course materials can be prepared and provided to ships training officers to enable primary/basic training to be provided on board by your own staff.

Water Sampling

	Identification of sampling need together with the development of sampling and recording systems for potable and leisure water systems.
	Examination of water supplies being used for bunkering.
	Provision of sampling equipment and comprehensive training for use.
	Analysis of samples and interpretation of results.
	Prevention of Legionnaires Disease.

Illness Outbreak Control

	Control of gastrointestinal illnesses outbreaks including food poisoning, Norwalk and SRSV type viral infections.

Waste Management

	Review of waste management systems to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.

Hazardous Waste Disposal and Hazardous Material Procedures

	Preparation of procedures for the disposal of hazardous waste from ships to prevent regulation violation and to ensure the safety of shipboard personnel.

Ensuring that adequate systems and resources are in place to deal with chemical spillage from ships. Our systems to include training of personnel and the development of a written program.

The establishment of programs to prevent onboard infestation including the formulation of infestation control plans for cockroaches, bed bugs, rodents, flying insects and stored product pests and response to sightings and control of effective treatments onboard.

Occupational Health and Safety Reviews

The review of shipboard areas and onboard procedures to reduce the risk of accidents in the workplace including training, allocation and use of PPE, use of signage and proper use of equipment.

Waste Reduction and Recycling Techniques

Development of systems to reduce shipboard generated waste and reduction in disposal costs. Recycling of some waste products to provide income generation.

SMS and Record Keeping

The development of SMS manuals and review of all environmental record keeping systems required for SMS compliance. SMS auditing procedures in accordance with ISM requirements.
